How to broadcast on 6 screens with a control screen?

Easy Multi Display lets you broadcast media or URLs across several screens while keeping one screen dedicated to controlling the whole setup. An operator can supervise and control the entire video wall from a single workstation, without leaving their seat.

How many screens can be controlled?

The Basic edition lets you display your media or URLs on 6 screens, plus a 7th control screen, all from a single PC. The Enterprise edition goes further and supports up to 9 display screens plus 1 control screen.

The control screen is your Windows desktop: it is from there that you control the entire signage without disrupting what is broadcast on the other screens.

Step 1: connect your screens

Connect your screens to your PC according to the outputs available on your graphics card. Several connection types are possible:

  • HDMI
  • DisplayPort
  • DVI
  • RJ45
  • USB converter

Step 2: open the software configuration

Click the gear-shaped (cog) button located at the top of the interface to access the configuration settings.

Step 3: reserve one screen for control

In the settings, select “No” for the option “use your desktop to display media”. Your Windows desktop then stays dedicated to control, while the other screens are used solely for broadcasting.

Configuration example

Here is a possible layout to illustrate the possibilities:

  • 4 screens at 1920x1080, in landscape mode, displaying a folder of videos
  • 2 screens at 1080x1920, in portrait mode, displaying several URLs that scroll automatically
  • 1 screen, your desktop, to control your signage

Split each screen into several zones

Each screen can be divided into several sections in order to display different media at the same time. You can create up to 24 zones in total (that is 4x6), which offers great display flexibility to combine videos, images and web pages on a single wall.
