Frequently asked questions

Everything buyers ask us before signing.

The questions we get from heads of service, IT departments and public buyers. Straight answers, real figures, no endless quotation process.

How much does Easy Multi Display cost?

Easy Multi Display starts at €480 excl. VAT as a perpetual licence. Three tiers: Discovery at €480 (1 screen, 4 zones), Flex at €1,550 (up to 6 screens, 24 zones, video wall, scheduling) and Control at €1,911 (remote control, multi-user, on-site support). All prices exclude VAT and include French-speaking support.

Is there a subscription or any recurring fee?

No. The EMD licence is perpetual: you pay once and the installed software keeps running, with no annual fee, no renewal and no account to create. Updates are included for 12 months. That is the fundamental difference with subscription platforms, where the display stops the day the payment stops.

Why does a competitor charge €16,000 for the software alone?

Because video wall controllers have historically been sold as proprietary hardware, with software priced at the same level. A French fire and rescue service showed us a competing quotation of €16,000 for the software alone; that quotation is exactly what led to EMD at €480. We publish software that runs on standard hardware, with no in-house box to amortise.

Which tier suits a control room?

For a command and control room, the Control tier at €1,911 excl. VAT is the usual choice: it adds the remote control, multi-user operation and on-site support to everything in Flex (up to 6 screens, 24 zones per screen, video wall, scheduling). Discovery at €480 fits a single position, a meeting room or an evaluation phase.

What are the add-on modules and what do they cost?

Five modules extend the licence: Contributor (capturing and sending sources over the network) at €1,900, Multi-Wall (driving several walls from one PC) at €1,750 per PC, Scenario Panorama (visual touch control of scenarios) at €699 per PC, WebManager (control from a browser) at €959 per PC, and on-site training at €220. All one-off payments.

How much does a complete room cost, hardware included?

Two turnkey ranges. The Eco range at €2,959 excl. VAT shows 8 PCs at once on a single touch control screen: an 8-input HDMI switch, a mini PC, a 22-inch touch screen and the EMD remote. The Server range starts at €11,000 excl. VAT for a complete command post, between €11K and €18K depending on the number of screens and sources, including survey, cabling, configuration and on-site installation.

Do we need to buy new hardware to install EMD?

In most cases, no. EMD runs on standard Windows computers and drives off-the-shelf capture cards, including refurbished hardware. That is the whole point: give an existing video wall another ten years rather than replace a proprietary controller. Several fire and rescue services have refurbished their room without changing a single screen.

Can we try it before buying?

Yes, free of charge. The portable version unzips and runs with no installation and no administrator rights, changes no system file, and disappears when you delete the folder; it runs in sessions that you relaunch as many times as you need, with no expiry date. A digitally signed installable version is also available. No credit card, no account to create.

Are prices excluding VAT? Is support included?

All prices shown exclude VAT. Support is included with the licence and provided directly by the team that writes the software, in France, with no outsourced call centre. The Server range also includes an 8-hour support allowance to use during the first year.

How does a public-sector purchase work?

We answer tenders from fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, prefectures and local authorities with a quotation itemised line by line: licences, modules, hardware and installation kept separate. Payment is one-off, which makes it easier to book as capital expenditure rather than recurring operating cost. Tell us what you need and we will price it precisely.
