What Datapath does, and for whom
Datapath is a British manufacturer of image wall hardware. Its range covers wall servers (including the Iolite), display controllers that spread one source across several screens (Hx4, Fx4), capture cards (VisionSC) and the WallControl composition software.
Its products equip control rooms, studios, transport centres, industrial sites and digital signage. This durable hardware is often found in good condition on the second-hand market.
Where the budget goes over ten years
With a dedicated wall server, the budget covers the chassis, its cards, the composition software, then maintenance. Adding sources often means adding cards from the same manufacturer. When the server reaches the end of support, the question of complete replacement arises.
With us, the software is bought once: a perpetual licence, paid only once (Control, €1,911 excl. VAT, see the prices), with no annual fee.
The rest is standard hardware, new or refurbished, which you replace piece by piece, from the supplier of your choice.
What we do differently
Easy Multi Display is a software publisher, not a hardware manufacturer. Our Drag & Drop software runs on a standard PC, under Windows or Linux, and drives from 1 to 40 screens on direct output, more with image wall controllers. Each wall is divided into 24 zones at most, saved as scenarios.
The sources are those of a command room: HDMI capture of business workstations, RDP remote desktop, VNC session, network streams, cameras, websites. Everything works with the network and the Internet cut. CollectivView even displays up to 40 HDMI sources with no network at all between the screens.
Keeping your Datapath, or complementing it
A Datapath server or controller in good condition still has a lot to give. The server remains a PC running Windows fitted with capture and output cards: Easy Multi Display installs on it and composes the wall, and a display controller extends the number of screens. It is a typical revamp: we keep the hardware, we modernise the control.

Yes, a Datapath server is a PC running Windows, on which Easy Multi Display installs to compose the wall. The Iolite 600 server that we sell is ready to use with our software.
