Digital renovation of a CTA-CODIS in one week, NexSYS 4K compatible

Work wrapped up this Friday on the digital renovation of a CTA-CODIS complex (call handling and dispatch centre) for an SDIS.

The goal was neither to reorganise the rooms nor to replace the existing equipment. In the CTA room, the 4 operator stations, the duty officer station and the deputy duty officer station were already in place, as were the screens and video walls. Our mission: modernise how information is displayed and shared across the operations room.

In just one week, we delivered:

• the full migration to NexSYS 4K compatibility;
• HDMI capture of the administrative and operational PCs (more than 20 captures in total);
• centralisation of all feeds on the Easy Multi Display server;
• dynamic broadcasting across the various video walls;
• integration and control of digital TV feeds;
• integration of the wildfire monitoring systems;
• on-demand integration of CCTV feeds;
• adaptation and optimisation of the existing audiovisual cabling.

The result: information that is more visible, better shared and easier to use, both day to day and in a crisis. User feedback was immediate: “It’s intuitive.”

Scenario Panorama, the Easy Multi Display module, drew particular attention. In a few clicks, it reconfigures the display across every video wall in the room to match the operational context: routine activity, wildfires, major events or crisis management. In a matter of seconds, the whole room switches to the configuration the situation calls for.
