QuickShare stress test: 20+ simultaneous video feeds, no dropouts

A little early-evening stress test: putting the new QuickShare video engine through its paces. The objective: aggregate and display, in real time, the camera and screen feeds of several field responders across different walls, without any break in service.

QuickShare is a real-time emergency coordination platform. From a command room (SDIS, SAMU, COD, CORG), a commander can monitor and interact with field teams: live video and screen feeds, radio-style push-to-talk communication, text and voice messages, team geolocation, man-down alerts (MAYDAY), and communication continuity even in degraded areas (LoRa, off-network).

The test result: more than 20 simultaneous video feeds processed continuously on basic infrastructure, with no saturation and no dropouts. This is not the final configuration yet, but it is a solid indicator of what the architecture can already take today.

Hosted in France, with no dependency on a foreign cloud: in critical operational contexts, sovereignty and control over the infrastructure are not optional.

Video as a decision aid - not a substitute

Today’s test feeds will be tomorrow’s real field cameras: fires, accidents, interventions, crises. A complementary view for the room commander. And that is the key word: complementary.

A CTA chief reminded us of this recently: a camera never captures the full reality. It provides one angle - useful, sometimes decisive, but inherently partial. Operational decisions rest above all on experience, coordination of resources and feedback from the field. Those on the ground retain the finest understanding of the situation, and their input must remain central to decision-making.
