Deployment
Touch Multiservice Unit for Firefighters on a Video Wall
Discover a multiservice unit for firefighters, deployed temporarily while the final version is being prepared. Here is a complete overview of the functions available in this interactive, touch-enabled and connected environment, designed for coordinating emergency services.
A Video Wall and a Touch Screen for the Command Room
The video wall is made up of four iiyama screens. A 65-inch screen simulates the external display located behind the wall, and a 55-inch Samsung Flip touch screen rounds out the setup for interactive presentations.
On the connectivity side, the final installation provides two HDMI and USB ports accessible on the front panel. They allow external PCs (PC1, PC2) to be connected and displayed directly on the wall. A Poly camera, mounted above the wall, can also be projected onto the screen. Everything is controlled by fingertip: switching from one source to another (PC1, PC2, camera), sending content to full screen, interacting live with the display.
Interactive Drag & Drop Display and Multiple Sources
The solution integrates Easy Multi Display’s Drag & Drop, which lets you move, resize and manipulate each piece of displayed content, whether it comes from external PCs, the camera or the main server. The video server can add up to three additional HDMI sources, for up to five external sources displayed simultaneously on the wall.
For a mobile structure, standard HDMI cables are not used: HDMI-over-RJ45 extenders link the video server to the screens, and a USB-over-RJ45 extender relays the keyboard, mouse and touch input all the way to the command room.
KVM Station: Control Everything from a Single Console
A command station centralizes control of the connected PCs. It makes it easy to switch between PC1, PC2, the Poly camera or the Drag & Drop scenario display, to take remote control of the keyboard and mouse, and to interact in real time with all the equipment from a single console.
This multiservice unit is designed to broadcast multiple, interactive content, display up to 5 external sources and be controlled from a centralized workstation, with flexibility and reliability. An approach also found in our firefighter and fire and rescue solution and our turnkey ranges.
