How to position your displays correctly?

Before you can fully enjoy Easy Multi Display, it is essential to position your displays correctly in Windows. A wrong alignment or a wrong display order causes offsets on your video wall. Here is how to do it simply.

Accessing the Windows display settings

Right-click on the desktop, then choose Display settings.

To move your displays, select them with a left click and hold the left click down to position them correctly relative to one another. With the Videowall function set to Yes, you can use up to 18 displays.

Important tips for a successful display

• Display 1 is your main desktop. Select the first display and check the Make this my main display box.
• Set the scaling (Scale and layout) to 100 % for all displays.
• Use the same resolution on your different displays.
• Use the same graphics cards, or at worst the same brands. Do not mix an Nvidia card with an AMD card: you will run into problems aligning your displays, and the display order may change at every startup.

Ordering and aligning your displays correctly

The order and alignment of the displays in the Windows settings must match exactly their physical layout on the wall. Depending on the shape of your video wall, follow the rules below.

Video wall on a horizontal line

The displays must be placed side by side, in the right order (1, 2, 3…) and perfectly aligned at the same height. A wrong order or a wrong alignment will result in an offset or cut image.

Video wall on a vertical line

The displays must be stacked in the right order and aligned to the same width, with no horizontal offset.

Video wall in a square or rectangle

For a grid layout (2x2, 3x2, etc.), make sure to respect both the order and the horizontal and vertical alignment of each display, so that the image reassembles perfectly across the whole wall.
