Is a mini PC required with the OneScreen license?
You want to use Easy Multi Display but you don't know if you can use your computer? You also wonder if is a mini PC required with OneScreen license? No, it is not mandatory, you can use your computer but make sure your computer is powerful enough to run Easy Multi Display. You will also need a computer with a DVI or HDMI output to connect to your TV.
But, what is a "Mini PC"?
A mini PC is simply a PC... but a smaller one that includes only the essentials.
technical characteristics
Most mini PCs include a graphics card, RAM, hard drive and connectivity. Therefore it is very interesting to use this kind of inexpensive computer if you don't have the interest of a more advanced use. It will do for our Easy Multi Display software if you want to buy our "OneScreen Version".
Benefits
A mini PC has many advantages for both individuals and companies.
Here are some advantages of using a Mini PC :
- Very easy to use
- Easily transportable
- Very little noise because these mini computers have no fans or small ones.
- The energy consumption is minimal (often about 15 Watts).
- A mini PC is much cheaper than a laptop or a desktop computer.
Of course, these are just a few of the many advantages and everyone will find a use for a Mini PC.
Disadvantages
However, using a Mini PC also has some disadvantages, here are some of them.
- The power of the processor and power supply is often lower than a processor in a desktop computer.
- The use of some software is impossible because the power of a Mini PC is limited.
- Almost impossible to improve the features of your Mini PC.
So what to do?
It depends on you! If you think that using a Mini PC would be easier, then buy one! Otherwise use your usual computer which will probably do the trick (depending on how many screens you use). However, you can use a Mini PC to use our "OneScreen" version of Easy Multi Display, but be aware that a desktop or laptop PC will also do the job if its features are high enough.
